Sauna host Johanna Hurme (Phytotherapist) brings a soothing herbal sauna to Saunatemppeli for Mother’s Day. In the quiet of the sauna, you can enjoy a cooling herbal infusion and the relaxing scents of birch, thyme, rosemary, and pine in the steam. There’s also the option to treat your skin with a herbal glycerin-sugar scrub or a honey scrub.
As you arrive at the sauna and during your cooling breaks, you’re invited to lean against a nearby tree, sense the presence of nature, and listen to your body. The calming effect of nature combined with the sauna helps you relax and relieves stress.
After the sauna session, fresh spring water will be available, with the option to add flower essences if you wish. The essences are Finnish flower therapy drops from Frantsila, developed to support emotional and mental wellbeing. Finnish flowers are especially potent sources of strength, having grown in pure soil under the light of the midnight sun. No essential oils are used in the herbal sauna. The water for the steam and the exfoliations are made by infusing or crushing the actual plants.
